Environmental Stewardship Policy

The context for this policy is provided by ARES’ commitment to environmental stewardship principles, which form an integral part of ARES’ strategic goals and objectives, and high performance building targets for provincially funded facilities.

Purpose
To confirm ARES’ continuing commitment to the responsible environmental management of its business; in particular, to:

• Maintain ISO 14001:2004 registration of its Environmental Management System (EMS)
• Deliver high performance building solutions to its customers

Public Sector Energy Conservation Agreement (PSECA)

Public buildings around the province will undergo energy assessments to identify opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet 65 per cent of incremental energy needs through conservation and the use of alternative energy options.
